Neurodiversity in the Workplace

Successful organizations know their greatest asset isn’t their brand name or balance sheet.

It’s their people.

When every team member has the support they need to reach their full potential – well, that’s when the magic happens.

But too many organizations squander the potential of their neurodivergent team members, such as those with autism or ADHD. Talented contributors are sidelined or silenced, just because their minds work differently than their colleagues expect.

Fortunately, many leaders are starting to recognize the power of neurodiversity in the workplace. Leading firms like Google, Harvard, and Accenture are spearheading efforts to build a neuroinclusive culture where everyone has the support they need to thrive.

Your organization can join them.

And I can help you get there.

Meet Dr. Dan

I’m Dr. Daniel Wendler—a proudly autistic clinical psychologist.

I combine my clinical training and personal autistic experience to help your audience gain a deep understanding of neurodiversity.

I’ve helped hundreds of organizations apply the principles of neurodiversity to their workplace – including some of the world’s most successful companies.

(The reason I know Google, Harvard, and Accenture are investing in neurodiversity? Well, they hired me to train them.)

A few of my bona fides:

  • My TEDx talk about my life with autism has inspired hundreds of thousands.

  • I’m the co-author of the Great Courses Audible exclusive Neurodiversity and the Myth of Normal.

  • I’ve spoken about neurodiversity to corporations, nonprofits, universities, hospitals, research laboratories, federal and state government agencies, the US Army and Navy…the list goes on!

I specialize in making life easy for event organizers. My goal is to deliver a high-impact talk for your audience and a zero-stress experience for you. I’m committed to being the smoothest part of your entire event.

Plus, I pride myself on handcrafting a talk that makes your event amazing. Whether you need an in-depth training, an inspirational keynote, or something totally unique… you’ve come to the right guy.

Strength in Neurodiversity

My flagship training on neurodiversity is called “Strength in Neurodiversity: How to create a workplace where everyone can belong.”

Strength in Neurodiversity works great as an in-person training or a virtual webinar. I’ve delivered it for audiences ranging from Fortune 500 companies to scrappy nonprofits, and I can customize it to the needs of your event. For instance, we can add group discussion or reflection opportunities, or address neurodiversity outside the workplace too.

What Your Audience Will Learn

  • The core principles of neurodiversity and how neurodiversity helps us better understand differences such as autism and ADHD

  • The competitive advantage provided by genuine inclusion and support for neurodivergence

  • How to understand neurodivergent differences, rather than viewing them as deficits or “problems to be fixed”

  • The implications of the social model of disability, and how environment creates ability.

  • Common workplace challenges experienced by neurodivergent people and how to overcome them (including examples from my lived experience as someone with autism.)

  • Practical applications for workflow and processes, office environments, hiring & promotions, conflict management, and more

  • Specific applications to your industry and workforce

Oh, and your team will have fun too! I hate bland corporate trainings just as much as you do, and I would never inflict one on my audience.

How to Build a Workplace Where Everyone Can Belong

Neurodiversity Consulting

I also offer neurodiversity consulting services for organizations that want to fully invest in their neurodivergent team members.

Our work together typically starts with an Executive Strategy Session, a 90-minute working session with up to six members of your leadership team. You’ll walk away with a written summary of my recommendations, and we’ll schedule a follow-up call a few weeks later with the executive leading implementation. That way, you get expert support to ensure the work actually moves forward.

From there, I’m available to design a customized consulting engagement tailored to your organization’s needs — whether that’s ongoing advisory support, an in-person intensive with your leadership team, or something totally specific to your situation.
