If you enjoyed my videos, there’s a few other things you should check out:
- I’m active on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, and I’d love if you could follow me if you haven’t followed me already. My shortform videos go to all platforms, but YouTube gets some exclusive longform videos (like my guide to getting genuine confidence.)
- I also have a Substack, where I share my most thoughtful and vulnerable content – like an essay about How to love a tree. I reserve my best work for my Substack, and can subscribe for free.
- If you want to learn more about neurodiversity, autism, or ADHD, you’ll love my Audible exclusive “Neurodiversity and the Myth of Normal“, which I co-authored with Dr. Kyler Shumway.

Frequently asked questions
I’m a licensed psychologist with a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA-accredited program. I’ve also been writing and speaking about autism, relationships, and personal development since 2010, when I founded ImproveYourSocialSkills.com
Yup! I received a professional diagnosis just before starting high school.
Unfortunately, I’m not accepting new clients right now. I do offer consultation calls (see below), which can be helpful in many situations but are not at all a substitute for therapy. If you are looking for a therapist who understands neurodivergence, I recommend starting with the https://ndtherapists.com/ directory.
Bring me to your company or event
I’m a professional keynote speaker, focusing on neurodiversity, burnout, and healthy corporate culture. If you work for an organization or event that might be a fit for me, check out my speaker page!
Consultation calls
I’m not accepting any therapy patients at this time, and I don’t provide autism diagnosis services. However, I do offer 1 on 1 consultation calls.
My consultation calls are designed to help you develop a strategy and plan of action for tackling a question in your life that is related to my areas of expertise. For instance, we could do a consultation call to discuss:
- How to choose a therapist that is appropriate for you given your goals
- Explore options for seeking an autism diagnosis and help you choose a qualified provider.
- How to find social groups that would be welcoming for a neurodivergent person
- Strategies to find a neuroinclusive workplace, or advocate for yourself within your existing workplace
- Evaluate your options for supporting a loved one who is neurodivergent
- (For professionals only) Consultation on a neurodivergent patient
This is not therapy under a different name; my consultation calls do not treat anything related to mental or emotional health. If our conversation indicates that you would benefit from therapy, we can use part of the consultation time to help you find a qualified therapist.
My consultation calls are $200 for a 30-minute call, or $300 for a one-hour call. You can reach out here to get started.
Get in touch
I read every email I receive, and I do my best to respond to as many as I can. Feel free to reach out with comments, suggested topics for me to make a video about or write about, or questions.
To increase the chances that I can respond to you, it’s helpful if you focus your email on one specific question. If you find yourself writing a long email, I’ll still read it, but I’m unlikely to be able to help in that kind of situation (usually for complex questions like that, you really do need to talk it through with a therapist who can give it the time and focus it deserves.)
You can get in touch here.
